Shish is a Mediterranean kitchen and café with a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options that span locales and cultures throughout the Middle East.

Owner Leo Judeh came to the United States to box in the 1996 Olympics. He eventually moved from Atlanta to San Francisco, where his brothers owned two restaurants, and finally ended up in St. Paul. where he and Beth opened Shish in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood. The neighborhood was lacking in Middle Eastern options, and Shish aimed to fill the void.

Shish’s commitment to good food is nothing less than passionate. Shish works with a local ranch, buying meats fresh. None of the meats used in Shish’s burgers or kabobs are ever frozen.

Shish’s menu offers a variety of innovative dishes, many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and food that isn’t available anywhere else in the area. So come for a visit and enjoy a cup of the best Turkish Coffee in the Twin Cities.
